How to Wear Geometric Prints this Season
On Thursday, May 7, 2015 @ 10:12 pm, Category: Trend Reports, 1 Comments
You might have hated geometry in school (so did we), but you’re going to love wearing these fabulous geometric prints for sure! They’re hip, they’re happening and they’re super stylish; there’s no denying that! And with a couple of tips and tricks to wear these prints right, you can raise your fashion quotient a few degrees higher.
Wearing a colour blocked outfit is the subtlest way in which you can pull off a geometric print. Take note of the lines, squares and rectangles the colour blocked portion makes.
Wear Triangles – Monochrome and Bright
Enter full glam mode with monochrome and colourful triangle prints. While the monochrome version of this print gives you a sophisticated and classy look, the colourful triangle print makes you look street chic.
Think Inside the Box
Define your style with four-edged figures like squares, rectangles, diamonds and other quadrilaterals. Funky colours, sober colours and the classic monochrome black and white are styles you can choose from.
Balance Prints with Solids
This is, by far, one of the oldest rules in the book. When you wear prints, make sure you balance it with solid colours. So, if you’re wearing geometry on top, make sure your bottoms are solid. And if you’re wearing geometry at the bottom, make sure you go with solid colours on top.
Wear Mixed Prints
Beyond the lines, triangles and quadrilaterals, there’s a lot more to geometric prints than you could ever imagine. Make sure you experiment with these too!
Here are some fabulous outfit ideas from our Fashionistas to help you pull off geometric prints in style this season.
